Description

We are recruiting a remote Cyber WarGame Exercise Developer on behalf of our client, an American multinational investment company, to work independently and as part of a team to design and host engaging Information Security-themed cyber exercises referred to as Cyber WarGames.

The WarGame team member will use their information security knowledge and be expected to work closely with subject matter experts to develop high-quality and realistic cyber scenarios and instructional content. The candidate should have a high level of proficiency and experience in technical writing, MITRE attack framework, and cyber actor tactics techniques and procedures. In addition to advanced PowerPoint design and editing capabilities, the candidate will also be skilled in public speaking and leading diverse groups through challenging and technical discussions. Experience leading classroom instructional courses during in-person and live virtual events is highly valued. When the exercise identifies areas to improved processes, technical fixes, or training needs, the candidate is expected to navigate the organization to resolve exercise findings.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract and there is a significant chance that the role will become permanent if the successful candidate is willing to relocate to the Wilmington, DE area.

Responsibilities

Understand Information Security policies, standards and procedures that support data privacy, technology use, incident response, access and identity management, and other cyber security topics
Develop instructional PowerPoint materials, such as self-guided courses, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and assessments.
Analyze exercise objectives and design effective training and exercise solutions that meet business and regulatory needs.
Review organizational cyber response playbooks, compare response steps across stakeholders, and update critical information and processes.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, third parties, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure exercise scenarios and materials are accurate and reflect the security architecture and tech stack.
Use modern communication and collaboration tools (SharePoint Online, MSFT Co-pilot, Teams, Webex, etc.) Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), Storyline360, and other technologies to deliver and track learning content is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree requirement can be substituted with extensive experience in exercise program management.
3-5 years of experience in cyber exercises or incident response.
Strong ability in organizing, editing, and designing PowerPoint presentations.
Strong track record of Financial Sector, National Security, and/or Information Security experience.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - experience in managing diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with learning management systems (Workday and/or CrossKnowledge preferred) and other e-learning technologies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits & Compensation

Hourly salary is $50.00 - $80.00 p/h dependent on experience.
